LIVE from NextGen ONE 2016 in Las Vegas

This week we are coming to you live from the NextGen UGM ONE conference in Las Vegas. Hello from the entire eMedApps team!!

NextGen UGM ONE conferenceFor my fellow NextGen users, this is what we all look forward to every year. It’s our first look at new features coming to our electronic health records, and our chance to learn a little bit more about features that currently exist in the EHR tools we use nearly every day. There are conference sessions, demos, vendors who have exciting new functionality and updates on new industry initiatives. I wanted to highlight some of the best things I’ve come across during this year’s conference.

Incentive Programs – MACRA is HUGE and the NextGen community is ready. There were several breakout sessions lined up to prepare clients for the upcoming program. An entire booth was dedicated to MACRA and staffed with folks ready to answer questions and elaborate on this extensive program that CMS has released for 2017.

Trying to qualify for other incentive programs? MU? PCMH? NextGen and their partner/vendor community have you covered with those as well. I’m sure several administrators and providers will breathe a little easier after #ONEUGM16.

The Learning Lab – This year there was an entire room at the conference setup to help attendees learn about new workflows and features in UD3. Additional training and demos are on the conference agenda to give attendees a complete view of all solutions.

Mel Robbins and the 5 Second Rule – If you haven’t heard of Mel Robbins or know about her rule, look it up and give it a try. Mel first shared the idea about five years ago on a TEDx stage, and it’s now one of the top 20 TEDx talks in the world. NextGen added a WOW factor inviting Mel to be the keynote speaker this year. I’m so happy to share this with all of you who may not have attended the conference.

If you’re attending the show, make sure to stop by the eMedApps booth #313 in the expo hall for some awesome demos and information. If you missed the conference this year, it’s not too early to plan for next year!
