The Path to NextGen’s Enterprise PM/EHR 5.9.1 and Clinical Templates 8.4.1

NextGen has always been the leader in releasing the latest and greatest.  This time, the latest upgrade came with a name change!

Until now, NextGen has always referred to their product as the NextGen Application or NextGen KBM. So, what does this mean for you?

  • The core application is now: NextGen Enterprise Practice Management 5.9.1 OR NextGen Enterprise Electronic Health Record 5.9.1
  • The clinical content platform (formerly Knowledge Base Model or “KBM”) is now: NextGen Clinical Templates 8.4.1

The newest version of the core application has new and improved functionality.

  • Better handling of ‘confidential’ encounters
  • Better functions for user deactivation
  • Provider Approval Queue multi-level sign-off
  • Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Support
  • Ability to send medication e-coupons

Those are just a few of the new enhancements that the Enterprise PM/EHR 5.9.1 and Clinical Templates 8.4.1 has to offer.  If you’re currently on the NextGen 5.9/KBM 8.4, reviewing this new release would be very beneficial for yourself and your practice!
